Pre-Rolled Cones FAQs

Answers to the most common questions about our Pre-Rolled Cones

What types of pre-rolled cones does Sana Packaging offer?

Sana Packaging offers wholesale pre-rolled cones for approximately 0.5g and 1g cannabis pre-rolls.

Current options include:

• 84mm organic hemp paper cones

• 109mm organic hemp paper cones

• 84mm hemp-wrap blunt cones

• 109mm hemp-wrap blunt cones

All four options include an attached 26mm paper filter tip, also called a crutch. Materials, sizes, case quantities, customization options, and inventory vary by product.

What is the difference between hemp paper cones and hemp-wrap blunt cones?

Organic hemp paper cones use ultra-thin, 14 GSM rolling paper made from 100% hemp pulp derived from organically grown hemp. They provide a traditional pre-roll format with a neutral profile that keeps the focus on the flower.

Hemp-wrap blunt cones use a thicker, approximately 60 GSM hemp wrap. They provide a fuller, richer, and slower-burning blunt-style experience without traditional tobacco leaf. The stocked hemp-wrap blunt cones are tobacco-free and THC-free.

Test both materials with the actual flower and production process before choosing.

Should I choose an 84mm or 109mm pre-roll cone?

Choose the cone size based on the desired fill weight, finished pre-roll dimensions, production equipment, and packaging.

Common starting points include:

• 84mm cone with a 26mm crutch: approximately 0.5g of cannabis flower

• 109mm cone with a 26mm crutch: approximately 1g of cannabis flower

These capacities are guidelines. Flower density, grind size, moisture content, packing pressure, and finishing method can affect the final fill weight and dimensions.

Are the pre-rolled cones empty or already filled, and do they include filters?

The cones are empty and ready to fill with cannabis flower. "Pre-rolled" means the paper or hemp wrap has already been formed into a cone.

Each stocked cone includes an attached 26mm paper filter tip or crutch. The filter does not need to be purchased or inserted separately.

No cannabis is included with the cones.

Can I fill the pre-roll cones by hand or with a filling machine?

Yes. Sana Packaging's stocked pre-roll cones can be filled by hand, with a tabletop knockbox, or with compatible automated equipment.

The 84mm and 109mm cones use industry-standard dimensions and are designed to work with standard cone-filling equipment, including the King Kone 2.0 Metal Pre-Rolled Cone Filling Machine.

Equipment tolerances and production methods vary. Test samples with the actual grinder, flower, filling equipment, packing method, and finishing process before ordering by the case, especially when using automated equipment or thicker hemp-wrap blunt cones.

Which pre-roll packaging fits the filled cones?

Choose pre-roll packaging based on the finished product's actual length and diameter after filling, packing, and folding or twisting.

Common starting points include:

• 84mm cones: select 78mm or 110mm individual tubes, 90mm multipacks, and the 114mm Slider Tin

• 109mm cones: select 110mm or 116mm individual tubes, the 116mm PCR Pop-Top Multipack, and the 114mm Slider Tin

Package names do not always represent the exact usable interior dimensions. Test the finished pre-roll in the complete tube or multipack before placing a production order.

Are pre-rolled cones child-resistant or compliant cannabis packaging?

No. An empty pre-rolled cone is a product component, not child-resistant retail packaging.

Filled pre-rolls may need to be placed in certified child-resistant and tamper-evident packaging, depending on the product and sales market. Suitable packaging may include compatible pre-roll tubes, multipacks, or jars.

Confirm that the cone, finished pre-roll, outer packaging, label, and complete retail presentation comply with current requirements in every market where the product will be sold.

Can I order custom-branded pre-rolled cones?

Yes. The stocked cones sold online are unbranded, but custom pre-roll cone projects can include:

• Full-color printing on the filter tip

• Exterior filter wraps or cigar bands

• Printed rolling paper or hemp wraps

• Custom cone dimensions

• Specialty filter tips

Minimum order quantities, pricing, artwork requirements, and lead times for custom cone projects depend on the cone size, material, filter, printing method, and quantity.

How do I order or request samples of wholesale pre-rolled cones?

Stocked pre-rolled cones can be purchased online by the case. Current case quantities include:

• 900 cones per case for 84mm organic hemp paper cones

• 800 cones per case for 109mm organic hemp paper cones

• 900 cones per case for 0.5g hemp-wrap blunt cones

• 800 cones per case for 1g hemp-wrap blunt cones

The minimum for stocked cones is generally one case, with volume pricing available for larger orders.

Samples are available for many products. Use samples to test fill weight, material performance, machine compatibility, finishing method, finished packaging, and customer experience.

Cones may ship separately from tubes, multipacks, or other packaging in the same order and may have separate tracking information.

Can Sana Packaging help me select a complete pre-roll cone system?

Yes. Sana Packaging can help pair pre-roll cones with compatible grinders, filling equipment, individual tubes, multipacks, customization, and labeling options.

When requesting a recommendation, provide:

• Desired fill weight and cone material

• Estimated production volume

• Hand-filling or equipment requirements

• Preferred individual or multipack format

• Child-resistant and tamper-evident requirements

• Estimated order quantity

• Customization requirements

• Desired production timeline

Final equipment testing, package testing, and regulatory review remain the responsibility of the brand placing the finished pre-roll on the market.
