Pre-Rolled Cones FAQ

We offer four wholesale pre-rolled cone options:

• 84mm organic hemp paper cones: Designed for approximately 0.5g pre-rolls, with 900 cones per case
• 109mm organic hemp paper cones: Designed for approximately 1g pre-rolls, with 800 cones per case
• 84mm hemp-wrap blunt cones: Designed for approximately 0.5g pre-rolls, with 900 cones per case
• 109mm hemp-wrap blunt cones: Designed for approximately 1g pre-rolls, with 800 cones per case

All four options include a 26mm paper filter tip, also called a crutch.

The cones are empty and ready to fill with your own cannabis flower. “Pre-rolled” means the paper or hemp wrap has already been formed into a cone and fitted with a crutch. No cannabis is included.

Hemp paper cones use thin, 14 GSM rolling paper made from hemp pulp. They provide a traditional pre-roll format with a neutral profile that keeps the focus on the flower.

Hemp-wrap blunt cones use a thicker, 60 GSM hemp wrap. They provide a fuller, richer, and slower-burning blunt-style experience without traditional tobacco leaf.

We recommend testing both materials with your flower before choosing.

The primary difference is the intended fill weight:

• 84mm cone with 26mm crutch: Approximately 0.5g of flower
• 109mm cone with 26mm crutch: Approximately 1g of flower

The 84mm cones measure approximately 10.8mm across the top and 5.3mm across the bottom. The 109mm cones measure approximately 12.5mm across the top and 5.5mm across the bottom.

Capacities are guidelines rather than guarantees. Flower density, grind size, moisture content, packing pressure, and finishing method can affect the final fill weight.

A crutch is the filter tip at the mouth end of a pre-roll. It gives the cone structure, helps maintain its shape during filling and use, and reduces the chance of loose flower being pulled through.

Each stocked cone includes a 26mm paper crutch. It is already attached and does not need to be purchased or inserted separately.

The rolling paper is made from 100% hemp pulp derived from organically grown hemp. The finished cones use ultra-thin, 14 GSM paper with a natural light-tan appearance.

The raw materials used to produce the paper are certified organic, although there is no international certification specifically for finished “organic paper.” Current supporting documentation includes FSC certification and supplier quality and food-grade certifications. Documentation may be available upon request.

No. The hemp-wrap blunt cones are tobacco-free and THC-free. They use hemp wrap rather than traditional tobacco leaf to provide a fuller, slower-burning blunt-style experience.

The stocked 84mm and 109mm cones use industry-standard dimensions and are designed to work with standard cone-filling machines and knockboxes, including the King Kone.

Equipment tolerances and production methods vary. Test samples with your actual equipment before ordering by the case, especially when using automated equipment or thicker hemp-wrap cones.

Yes. The cones can be filled by hand, with a tabletop knockbox, or with compatible automated equipment.

The best method depends on production volume, desired consistency, labor, and the flower being used. Consistent grinding, portioning, packing, and finishing will help produce more uniform pre-rolls.

Yes. Samples are available for many of our pre-rolled cones. We recommend testing each material and size with your flower, grinder, filling process, equipment, and finished packaging.

Sampling helps confirm fill weight, machine compatibility, material performance, finished length, and smoking experience before you commit to a case or custom project.

The minimum for stocked cones is generally one case. Volume pricing varies by product and quantity. Check the current product page or contact us for help with a larger order.

The stocked cones are sold unbranded. Custom projects may include full-color printing on the filter tip, an exterior filter wrap or cigar band, printed rolling paper or wraps, custom dimensions, and specialty filter tips.

Custom cone production is handled in partnership with Custom Cones USA. Minimums, pricing, artwork requirements, and lead times depend on the size, material, filter, printing method, and quantity. Contact our team to confirm current options.

Choose packaging based on the finished pre-roll length after filling, packing, and folding or twisting.

• 84mm cones pair well with select 78mm individual tubes, 90mm multipacks, 110mm tubes, and the 114mm Slider Tin.
• 109mm cones generally require 110mm or 116mm individual tubes or larger multipacks such as the 116mm PCR Pop-Top Multipack and 114mm Slider Tin.

Package names do not always represent the exact usable interior length. Request samples and test the finished pre-roll before ordering packaging.

No. An empty cone is a product component, not child-resistant retail packaging. Filled pre-rolls may need to be placed in certified child-resistant and tamper-evident packaging, depending on the product and market.

Customers are responsible for confirming that the cone, finished pre-roll, outer packaging, label, and complete retail presentation comply with current local requirements.

Keep all cones protected in their original case or another sealed container in a cool, dark environment. Avoid crushing, direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, strong odors, and large changes in humidity.

Hemp paper cones are not classified as moisture-sensitive, but proper storage helps protect their shape and performance.

Hemp-wrap blunt cones are moisture-sensitive. Keep them sealed when not in use, at room temperature or cooler, and at a stable relative humidity of approximately 50–60%. After filling, fold the tops rather than twisting them. If conditioning is needed, follow the supplier’s instructions and test the process before a full production run.

Stocked cones can be purchased online by the case. Because they are supplied through our partner, cones may ship separately from tubes, multipacks, or other packaging in the same order. Separate shipments may have separate tracking information.
