Available materials, sizes, features, and production requirements vary by project.

What products can I package in flexible pouches?

Flexible pouches can be configured for cannabis flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, edibles, and outer packaging for vape cartridges. The right format depends on the product dimensions, fill weight, barrier requirements, closure, and desired presentation.

Request samples and test the actual product before production to confirm capacity, closure performance, material feel, and shelf presentation.

Which flexible pouch size and format should I choose?

Standard pouch capacities range from approximately 1g through 1oz, including 1/8oz, 1/4oz, and 1/2oz options. Custom dimensions are also available.

The standard 1g pouch uses a three-side-seal format. Other standard sizes use a stand-up format with a bottom gusset.

Capacity guidelines are not guarantees. Finished dimensions, gussets, seals, zipper placement, and the packaged product affect usable space. Review the current dieline and test a sample before production.

What material and closure options are available?

Available film structures include standard film and post-consumer recycled film containing up to 65% PCR content.

Closure options include an ASTM-certified child-resistant zipper, a standard zipper, or no zipper. Only pouches configured with the child-resistant zipper are child-resistant.

Current flexible pouches are made in the USA, food-grade, FDA-compliant, and designed to resist odor and moisture. Confirm current food-contact, material, and child-resistance documentation for the exact pouch configuration being considered.

How can custom flexible pouches be customized?

Available customization options include:

• Standard or custom dimensions

• Stand-up or three-side-seal construction

• Full-color digital or flexographic printing

• Gloss, matte, soft-touch matte, and specialty finishes

• Child-resistant, standard, or no zipper

• Tear notches, hang holes, and round or square corners

• Clear windows, metallic effects, spot UV, and printing inside the pouch

Not every feature is compatible with every material or pouch structure. Sana Packaging can help identify options that work together for the desired design, product, budget, and production quantity.

What is the minimum order quantity, and can I combine multiple SKUs?

The minimum is 5,000 total pouches, with at least 2,000 pouches per SKU or design. Multiple SKUs can be combined in one order as long as each design meets the per-SKU minimum.

For example, three designs require at least 6,000 total pouches. Submit a separate Pouch RFQ for each desired pouch size.

Can I request samples, and how long do custom pouches take?

Yes. Samples are available and should be tested with the actual product before ordering.

Typical production lead time is approximately three weeks from final proof approval. Artwork preparation, prepress review, proof revisions, custom dieline development, optional physical press proofs, and shipping are not included in the production window.

Custom pouch orders are subject to a 10–20% production overrun or underrun, and the customer is invoiced for the actual quantity produced.

How do I request a quote for custom flexible pouches?

Submit a Pouch RFQ with the estimated total quantity, number of SKUs, quantity per SKU, pouch size, material, closure, finish, desired features, and artwork if available. Finished artwork is not required to request a quote.

Sana Packaging will review the specifications, recommend compatible options, and provide a project-specific quote and timeline.
